Kalonzo Told He's Wasting His Time Praising Raila, Told ODM Still Remembers What he Did in 2005

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has now been told that no amount of trying to appease former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's supporters will take away their belief that he has a traitor.

This is courtesy of former Nyeri MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, who says not even praising Raila or showing up at his home following his death will reverse the belief among his supporters that Kalonzo is not a good man.

He says Kalonzo has repeatedly frustrated Raila, including running away to form ODM-Kenya in 2005 and joining former President Mwai Kibaki in 2007, which ODM believes caused his inability to secure the presidency.

"Everyone wants to associate themselves with Raila after his death because he is a legend. Leaders should be mindful of their words to avoid landing in trouble," he said on Citizen TV's Daybreak show on Monday.

"ODM has always believed that Kalonzo betrayed the party when he chose to join Kibaki."

He also recalled how Kalonzo frustrated Raila when he was Prime Minister, including insisting on being the one to invite Kibaki on stage despite Raila being his senior in government.

Ngunjiri has also cited Kalonzo's absence at Raila's mock presidential coronation, insisting that he will always be seen as a betrayer.
