"Ground Ni Moto" Tension High As Natembeya Admits, Bows Down To Pressure As He Reveals The Following

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has spoken out following the withdrawal of two elected Luhya Members of County Assembly from a recent delegation, sparking fresh debate in county politics.

Joshua Amwai of Kiminini Ward and Geoffrey Kisiang’ani of Machewa were the only elected Luhya MCAs present at the meeting before they opted out.

The governor revealed that the two leaders decided to distance themselves from what they described as a plan meant to undermine his leadership.

“They said if the agenda is to hurt George Natembeya, they are not boarding,” the governor stated.

Natembeya further noted that the remaining 13 MCAs in the group were mainly allied to the UDA party, alongside nominated Ford Kenya members.

He warned that nominated leaders should remain loyal and mindful of their positions, insisting that those driven by personal gain would not survive the political heat ahead.

He also took a swipe at certain politicians seeking re-nomination under Ford Kenya, accusing them of lacking commitment and integrity.

“One of them has been nominated three times and still wants another slot in 2027. That one is not to be trusted,” he remarked.

Natembeya concluded by saying that the political ground in Trans Nzoia is tense, signaling tougher battles ahead.
