Sources at the event say Rosemary’s remarks came shortly after opposition leaders used their speeches to criticize both President Ruto and the late Raila Odinga, accusing them of betraying the opposition cause. 

But in what sounded like a reality check, she calmly told them to face the truth, that her current position was made possible by their former political rival and his late ally.

The crowd reportedly went silent for a moment before murmurs filled the air. Some guests nodded in agreement, others shifted uneasily. Observers have since interpreted her comments as a subtle message to the opposition to move on from constant attacks and focus on building credibility ahead of 2027.
