Stolen TukTuk Slams Into Residential Building in Broad Daylight, Six Suspects Locked Inside for 45 Hours

 

What began as a routine vehicle theft in the outskirts of Nairobi turned into a bizarre and terrifying incident after a stolen tuktuk reportedly lost control and crashed into a residential building, leaving six suspected thieves trapped inside for nearly two days before being rescued.

According to eyewitnesses, the group of young men allegedly stole the tuktuk during the early hours of the morning and attempted to escape through a busy suburban road.

However, their getaway took a dramatic turn when the vehicle veered off course and rammed into the ground floor of a two-storey residential apartment, causing panic among nearby residents who rushed out to check what had happened.

The impact reportedly damaged the front structure of the building and sealed off the only exit point the suspects could use, effectively trapping them inside the wreckage. 

Neighbours say they initially thought it was a terrorist attack or building collapse before realizing it was a road accident involving a stolen vehicle. 

In the confusion, residents immediately alerted authorities while others gathered outside, monitoring any movement from inside the building.
