“Will You Send 10 Million Supporters to Heaven Too?” Osotsi Puts Fred Ouda on the Spot After Shirtless Warning to Sifuna Sparks Political Storm

Tensions have escalated in Nyanza after a dramatic online exchange between former Kisumu Central MP Fred Ouda and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi over remarks directed at Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

The controversy erupted following a viral video shared on February 25, 2026, in which Ouda, appearing shirtless, issued a stern warning to Sifuna and the Linda Mwananchi brigade.

In the clip, Ouda firmly declared that Kisumu remains loyal to Raila Odinga and Governor Gladys Wanga.

He cautioned that any attempts by Sifuna or Embakasi East MP Babu Owino to hold political rallies in the region would not be tolerated.

Ouda went further, stating that those pushing such plans should prepare to face the consequences and “wait for judgment in heaven,” remarks that quickly sparked outrage and intense debate online.

Osotsi responded with a sharp rebuttal on social media, questioning the logic behind Ouda’s warning. In a pointed post, the senator asked whether Ouda intended to “send” not just Sifuna, but also Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o, Raila Odinga, and members of his family—including Ida, Winnie, and Ruth Odinga—alongside more than 10 million supporters of the Linda Mwananchi movement “to heaven too.”

By tagging Sifuna directly and using hashtags such as #LindaMwananchi and #SisiNdoSifuna, Osotsi amplified his message, framing Ouda’s remarks as reckless and politically desperate.

His response quickly gained traction, drawing reactions from both supporters and critics across the political divide.

The public spat highlights growing cracks within opposition-leaning circles in western Kenya, particularly in Nyanza, a region historically viewed as Raila’s political stronghold.

As the country edges closer to future electoral cycles, internal rivalries and shifting alliances are increasingly playing out in public, often fueled by social media exchanges.

Observers note that while loyalty to key political figures remains strong in certain regions, the tone of engagement is becoming more confrontational.

Ouda’s comments appeared aimed at defending perceived political territory, while Osotsi’s rebuttal sought to expose what he described as the absurdity of extreme rhetoric.
