Three Suspected Thieves Shot Dead By Police During A Botched Robbery Attempt In Kitutu Masaba

Three suspected thieves were on Thursday evening shot dead by police in Kitutu Masaba, Kisii County during a botched robbery attempt.

Kisii County police commander who confirmed the incident said the thieves, armed to the teeth were cornered at roadblock within the outskirts of Kisii County.

"We were able to block them before they divert to Bonchari town. They were in possession of three Ceska pistols loaded with six rounds of ammunition each. We've launched investigations into the incident," he said.

Their corpse were later picked by the officers and moved to Kisii town hospital mortuary for identification.

The latest development comes only two weeks when in Siaya and Kisumu Counties, there has been upsurge of crime incidents in recent past.

Also, in Nyamira County six suspected gangsters were lynched by enraged mob after terrorising residents in the region.

Two of the six suspects lost their lives on the spot but the rest lost their lives while undergoing treatment at Nyamira town hospital.
