The ranking was released by GovTrack 2026, a civic platform that evaluates elected leaders based on service delivery, leadership, and development impact. Wamumbi emerged at the top of the list, drawing attention across the political landscape.
In his response, the MP linked the recognition directly to the work taking place in Mathira Constituency. He said the ranking was not accidental but a reflection of steady effort and clear priorities over time.
Wamumbi recalled that Mathira was once widely known for strong academic performance, a reputation that gradually faded. He noted that deliberate steps are now being taken to restore that standing through education-focused programs and investments.
He pointed to visible development across the constituency, describing Mathira as an area under active transformation. Infrastructure projects, education facilities, and community initiatives are ongoing, with more planned in the coming months. According to him, the progress seen so far is only the beginning.
