Standing before a large crowd at Nyambera Modern Market, Arati shifted attention from national political debates to local realities. His reaction came after Ichung’wah had strongly criticised the leadership of the Ministry of Education for failing to address problems facing schools across the country.
Arati defended the need for balanced leadership and respect between arms of government. He reminded leaders that public criticism should focus on solving problems rather than shifting blame. His tone was calm but firm, drawing loud approval from the crowd.
The Kisii governor emphasized that education challenges cannot be addressed through political confrontations alone. He stressed that counties continue to support schools despite limited resources and depend on cooperation from national leaders to deliver results.
In front of President Ruto, Arati urged leaders to engage constructively and avoid public exchanges that weaken institutions. He made it clear that frustration in the education sector is shared by parents, teachers, and learners, and requires unity rather than public scolding.
