Win For Gachagua as Uhuru's Party Reveals It's Plan if He's Named Opposition's Presidential Aspirant

Jubilee Party's Vice Chair, David Murathe, has thrown his weight behind DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua ahead of the 2027 general election.

Murathe has termed Gachagua the best man to lead the united opposition, expressing his confidence that if he runs against President William Ruto, he will win.

"Gachagua, we are sending you to do that job. I know how focus you can be when you decide to do something and I assure you of our support," he is quoted by People Daily.

He disclosed that he has been very close to Gachagua, who even confided in him about how Ruto mistreated him when he was Deputy President.

Murathe, a close ally of retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, has been a known anti-Ruto crusader since when he was Uhuru's deputy.

He is among Uhuru insiders who stood with Azimio la Umoja candidate, the late Raila Odinga, against Ruto during the 2022 presidential elections.
