Gachagua Tells Mt Kenya Who to Elect in 2027 After Senator's Embarrassing Behaviour at Public Event

DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua has once again decried the decisions made by Mt Kenya voters when the time comes to elect their leaders.

He has lamented what he claims is the election of academically inferior people, some of whom cannot even pronounce common words correctly.

The former Deputy President has referred to an incident where Embu Senator Alexander Mundigi called DP Party Leader Justin Muturi "Anthony Njeru" instead of Attorney General.

He has termed this the reason behind his demand that the region goes for educated people, most preferably lawyers, come 2027.

“Another nickname for JB Muturi is Anthony Njeru. Do I tell you how the name was arrived at? You heard me the other day lamenting at Thika Green on the quality of leaders from our region," he said at Muturi's book launch.

"You heard me cry and plead with lawyers to save my community by electing leaders of high quality and integrity."

This follows his earlier plea, where he stressed the need for Mt Kenya to emulate Luo Nyanza by picking only the best to lead.
