Kenyans Told Ruto is Pretending to Mourn, Informed What he Was Plotting if Raila Returned to Demos

Safina Deputy Party Leader, Willis Otieno, has cautioned former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's supporters against trusting the government's sudden love for Raila following his demise.

He has taken issue with how government officials and allies are trooping to Raila's home to condole with his family, with some raining praises on him and his political career.

Otieno nas pointed out that the same government, led by President William Ruto, invested heavily to fight Raila when he was alive and is only shedding crocodile tears.

According to him, even the heavy police machinery now being deployed on demonstrating youth was acquired to deal with Raila and his potential future protests, a sign of Ruto's hypocrisy.

"Those police trucks you see terrorising Gen Z today? They were first bought to crush Raila’s demonstrations. The same regime that perfected police brutality on him now uses the same playbook on the youth. Let’s not rewrite history," he says on X.

He has recalled how Raila was repeatedly teargassed and at times shot at, as allies of Ruto celebrated the death of his supporters and stood in the way of the democracy he fought for.
