Kakamega County is mourning the unexpected death of Lynda Praise, a former nominated Member of the County Assembly (MCA).

Lynda tragically passed away in a road accident on the evening of November 19, 2025, just a few hours after being active on WhatsApp.

The young leader, who was in her twenties, served as an MCA from 2017 to 2022.

During her time in office, she was a member of the ANC party, which has since teamed up with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Lynda was well-known for her strong commitment to charity work, which helped her gain respect and recognition among local leaders and residents.

Lynda was loved by many, and news of her death has shocked the community.

Nominated MCA Amos Liyai Munasia shared his sadness over her passing, stating, "Rest in eternal peace, former MCA Lynda Praise, who met her death in a road accident."
