Pauline Njoroge Reacts as Irungu Kang'ata Declares He Won’t Seek Re-election on UDA Ticket

A fresh political storm is brewing after Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang'ata announced that he will not defend his seat on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket in the 2027 General Election, drawing swift reaction from Jubilee-linked political commentator Pauline Njoroge.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Pauline Njoroge shared excerpts from Kang’ata’s statement, captioning it: “Epistles of Governor Irungu Kang’ata. Things are boiling nicely!” Her remarks captured the rising political tension surrounding the governor’s unexpected decision, which has already triggered debate across the country.

In his statement dated May 3, 2026, Kang’ata confirmed that while he will not seek re-election under the UDA banner, he remains committed to working with President William Ruto’s administration until the end of his current term.
