Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has sparked fresh political debate after announcing that he is shifting his political base from Homa Bay to Nairobi, signaling a significant change in his political trajectory ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking during a women empowerment programme in Embakasi Central, Mbadi revealed that his focus is now firmly on Nairobi, where he intends to deepen engagement with local leaders and grassroots communities.
