“I Hope He Did Not Record Me in Bed” – Lady Who Washed Clothes for Viral Russian Man Speaks

Choice Kinoti, the Kenyan woman who went viral after washing laundry for Russian man Yaytseslav Trahov and requesting to travel with him abroad, has finally broken her silence on the controversy.

Speaking in an interview with 2mbili, Choice said she felt compelled to clarify the situation, which has since attracted global attention.

She revealed that she was unaware that Trahov would upload videos of their interactions online and noted that he wore smart glasses, potentially recording her without her knowledge.

According to Choice, she and Trahov were in a relationship, and he had traveled to Kenya to visit her. 

She was aware that he was a streamer and a content creator, but initially assumed that the recordings were of ordinary daily activities.

“He told me he does streaming for his living. He does content creation, and he travels around the world, so that is exactly what I thought it was. Just normal real-life activities: having breakfast, washing dishes, cooking together. There are so many videos, and I’m sure he’ll leak them all,” she said.

Choice also clarified that they recorded everyday moments such as washing dishes and cooking together. 

She emphasized that her participation in these activities was based on mutual consent and normal household routines, rather than anything intimate.

Interestingly, she contradicted herself regarding how they met. In one version, she suggested that they met casually, but later claimed that their first encounter was at an airport while traveling to Mombasa.

The woman also explained why she had been washing Trahov’s clothes, providing context for the viral videos that sparked intense public discussion.

Choice’s statement adds to the ongoing debate on online privacy, consent, and content creation ethics, as Kenyans and international audiences continue to react to the viral incident.
