Woman, 39, Committed Suicide By Hanging Inside The Bathroom After Finding Sponsor With Another Lady

A 39-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging inside the bathroom after finding her sponsor with another lady in Bondo town, Siaya County.

According to the police OB number xx/87/19/2/2026 reports filed at Bondo Sub-County police station the deceased had spent a night with the sponsor in a lodging room before taking her own life.

The deceased, identified as Josephine Adhiambo, 39, left the lodging room on Monday morning in good terms promising to come back later during the day to check on her sponsor, and after meeting her man at around 2pm, she caught her with another woman.

This seems to have made the woman angry prompting her to hang herself inside the bathroom.

Her lifeless body was found dangling in the bathroom with a nylon rope tied around his neck by her neighbour's who broke the door and gained access into the room.

"She closed the door from inside before killing herself. We decided to broke the door and we were surprised to find her body dangling inside the bathroom with a rope tied around her neck. We got curious and notified the authorities,"said a source privy to the alleged incident.

A witness only identified as Brayo, said during the incident a suicide note was also found on the floor of the bathroom.

"We found a suicide note dropped on the floor, it reads; Jackson I loves you so much and I can't believe my eyes that you can cheat on me with someone else after dating you for five years....I wish you all the best love, hope to meet you in the next world," Brayo said.

The body of the woman was moved to Bondo District hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem as police launched a manhunt for the sponsor who is still at large.
