Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba has addressed claims that she received KSh 250 million to abandon former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua’s camp and back President William Ruto’s re-election bid.

The outspoken legislator dismissed the allegations, insisting her decision was driven by development interests for her constituents rather than personal financial gain.

Wamuchomba formally declared her support for Ruto during the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Governing Council meeting held at State House, Nairobi, on Monday, January 26.
