"If You Don't Marry Now, I'm Going To Bring You A Wife & 3 Kids" Sudi Attacks Single MP

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi on Saturday stirred laughter and loud cheers after launching a sharp personal attack on fellow politician Mike Sonko during a public event.

Speaking to a charged crowd, Sudi claimed that despite Sonko’s wealth, influence and past political positions, he lacks a family of his own.

The Kapseret legislator told the gathering that Sonko “has everything money can buy, including power and fame, but still does not have a wife and children.”

His remarks were met with excitement from the audience, many of whom responded with chants and laughter as Sudi continued his address.

Sudi went on to mock Sonko’s personal life, saying that this was a gap they were ready to fill.

In a statement that further entertained the crowd, the MP declared that they would personally “bring him a wife with three children,” a comment that drew even louder cheers from those in attendance.

The outspoken legislator is known for his bold and sometimes controversial statements at public forums.

His latest remarks quickly became the main talking point of the event, overshadowing the main agenda as supporters reacted animatedly.

While Sudi did not mention any specific political contest involving Sonko, his comments were widely interpreted as part of the ongoing political rivalry and personal jabs that often characterise Kenyan politics. Sonko, a former Nairobi governor, has in the past been at the centre of public debates, both political and personal.

Political observers note that such statements, while entertaining to supporters, reflect the growing trend of leaders using humour and personal attacks to rally crowds and remain relevant in the public space.

By the end of the event, Sudi’s remarks had firmly captured public attention, with many attendees leaving still discussing the MP’s bold words.

As is often the case with such statements, they are expected to spark further reactions across the political divide in the coming days.
