However, one of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni's ministers has made a stunning allegation that the prominent opposition leader is in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya.
The minister who made these allegations was Hon. Balaam Ateenyi Barugahara, who is in charge of Youth and Children Affairs.
While speaking on a radio programme, Balaam stated, “Bobi Wine is hiding in Nairobi, but I advise him: he's a good leader, and I believe he can contribute to Uganda's development if he comes and joins President Museveni's government and asks to be deployed in an official capacity in the government.”
Balaam believes that Bobi Wine has the ability to transform the nation with his creative ideas if only he could stop fighting President Museveni.
Bobi Wine is yet to break his silence on Balaam's allegations concerning his whereabouts, but cooperation with the government is something that looks uncertain to happen.
If Bobi Wine is truly in Nairobi, then all eyes will wait to see if he gets abducted back to Uganda through coordination between Ugandan and Kenyan security forces.
In mid-November 2024, another top opposition leader, Dr Kizza Besigye, was also abducted from Kenya, and the same could be Bobi Wine's fate.
