News in -Sifuna would be removed as ODM SG-Leaked information from within the party

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party is reportedly in the final stages of a plan to remove Edwin Sifuna from his position as Secretary General. 

According to internal sources, the move is expected to take place immediately after the burial of Raila Odinga’s sister, Beryl Odinga.

Reports indicate that a section of ODM members has filed numerous complaints with the party’s top leadership, accusing Sifuna of failing to perform his duties effectively, especially during the recent by-elections. 

The members claim that under his leadership, the party’s organizational strength and communication with the grassroots have weakened, resulting in poor coordination and reduced influence in key political zones.

Sources further suggest that Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has emerged as the frontrunner to replace Sifuna in the powerful position. 

Ledama, known for his outspoken nature and strong grassroots appeal, is said to have the backing of several influential figures within the party who believe he can inject new energy into ODM’s leadership structure.

While official communication on the matter is yet to be released, political observers believe the planned changes could reshape ODM’s internal power dynamics ahead of the next general election. 

Party loyalists are now waiting for confirmation on whether the leadership shake-up will indeed take place after the Odinga family’s mourning period.
