"He Will Burn This Country to Ashes" MP Names One Politician Posing Danger To The Nation

Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo has delivered a stunning public warning, naming the prominent politician, Rigathi Gachagua, as the one leader whose divisive words could "burn this country to ashes" if he is not checked.

The direct attack happened during a fundraising event where the MP was speaking from a church pulpit.

In a furious speech, Elisha Odhiambo did not hold back, launching a blistering and personal assault on Gachagua's character and political style.

He branded him a dangerous "tribalist" and an "alarmist," telling the crowd that Gachagua's constant inflammatory rhetoric is a direct threat to Kenya's peace.

"If you have somebody uttering words that encourage intolerance, you see this country can burn," the MP warned gravely, his voice filled with emotion as he stressed the seriousness of the situation.

The Gem legislator said this wasn't just a vague accusation, pointing to the recent chaos at the Kasipul by-election as a clear example of where such dangerous words can lead.

He laid the blame for the violence squarely on the political climate being created, describing the shocking moment a fellow politician was assaulted by thugs.

"I saw in Kasipul the way the Honourable Kaluma was beaten," he recounted, framing the attack as a shameful and inevitable result of political intolerance.

"We should avoid political intolerance. It has not helped," he pleaded with the audience.

The MP concluded his address by making a direct appeal for a complete change in how politics is conducted in the country.

He insisted that all leaders, regardless of their party or position, have a duty to actively promote unity and peace, and to completely avoid the kind of personal attacks and divisive language that he said now pose a threat to the nation.
