"Farouk Kibet, Wewe si Mluhya Wachana na Siasa ya Waluhya" Farouk Kibet Faces Blackish In Kakamega

A Kakamega resident has sparked debate online after a bold statement directed at President William Ruto’s political advisor, Farouk Kibet.

The resident, in a viral clip circulating on social media, warned Farouk against meddling in Western Kenya politics, particularly in Malava Constituency.

In the video, the outspoken local accused Kibet of being used by the President to influence the region’s political direction ahead of the 2027 General Election.

“Farouk Kibet, wewe si Mluhya. Wachana na siasa ya Waluhya na wana Malava wachague mtu wanataka. Unatumiwa na Ruto, 2027 ni kunoma!” the resident said, drawing cheers from a gathered crowd.

The comments come amid rising political tension in Kakamega as various leaders position themselves for influence within Kenya Kwanza and the opposition ahead of the next election.

Kibet, a close ally of the President, has in recent months made several appearances in the Western region, often accompanying key government officials during development tours.

However, his growing involvement has drawn mixed reactions, with some locals accusing him of pushing a political agenda that undermines local leadership.

Others, however, have defended Kibet, saying he is free to engage any part of the country in his capacity as a national political figure.

The resident’s remarks underscore a wider sentiment among some Western Kenya voters who feel that national political players are increasingly interfering with local affairs.

As 2027 approaches, analysts predict intensified competition for control of the region, traditionally viewed as a crucial voting bloc.

Neither Farouk Kibet nor State House has responded to the viral remarks, but the statement continues to generate discussion on the region’s political future and the delicate balance of alliances within Kenya Kwanza.
