Kindiki said it is wrong for any leader to declare himself a kingpin, adding that Mt Kenya has produced many great leaders who served the country without making such claims.
He mentioned former Presidents Jomo Kenyatta, Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta as examples of leaders from the region who led the country but never called themselves kingpins of Mt Kenya.
Kindiki said leadership is about serving people and bringing unity, not fighting for titles or dividing communities.
He added that leaders should focus on development instead of arguing about who is more powerful in the region.
His remarks come after Gachagua has been claiming strong influence in Mt Kenya politics, something that has caused debate among leaders allied to the government.
Kindiki also said that the Kenya Kwanza government is open to working with all leaders from the region, as long as they support development and peace.
He urged leaders to stop political arguments that may divide people and instead work together for the benefit of citizens.
The comments show growing political differences between top leaders in the Mt Kenya region as they continue to disagree on leadership and influence ahead of future political plans.
