After a period of separation, her husband later followed her and promised to change his ways, convincing her to reconcile. The family settled in Nairobi, where the couple worked hard to survive he as a boda boda operator and she by doing laundry jobs to support their children.
Over time, serious tension began to surface in the home, especially involving their eldest daughter. The girl became increasingly confrontational, and whenever the mother tried to correct her behaviour, the father would intervene in her favour. This constant interference weakened parental authority and created growing mistrust between the couple.
Matters came to a devastating head when the woman returned home unexpectedly and discovered her husband in a compromising situation involving their daughter. She immediately sought help from the landlord, but the man openly declared that he would rather stay with the girl than remain married.
Following the confrontation, the woman was forced out of the house together with her two younger children, even though she was pregnant at the time. Her eldest daughter remained behind.
The mother later moved to Naivasha, where she is now trying to rebuild her life under difficult circumstances. While she says she has forgiven her daughter, she keeps her distance for the sake of her other children and hopes to regain stability by starting a small business if she can access financial assistance.
