What Kibra Residents Did to Oburu's Motorcade as he Passed-by Heading to Kamukunji Grounds for Rally

While headed to Kamukunji grounds for a mega consultative rally, ODM party leader Oburu Odinga's motorcade was temporarily blocked in the Kibra neighborhood as overexcited supporters crowded the road.

Chanting and shouting ODM and broad-based related slogans, the supporters blocked the road in attempt to catch a glimpse of the brigade that had accompanied Oburu for his first mega public rally as the orange party leader.

The motorcade was temporarily forced to come to halt as the crowd grew larger and larger.

It took the intervention of the orderlies and security personnel to clear the passage for the motorcade.

The ODM brigade led by Oburu Odinga, Homa Bay governor and party chairperson Gladys Wanga and Deputy Party leader Abdullswamad Nassir were forced to emerge atop their cars.

From videos shared online, the trio could be seen waving and smiling back to the crowd in show of appreciation for their support.

With Raila related slogans blasting from the speakers, some of the supporters decided to accompany the motorcade on foot as it made its way to the Kamukunji grounds.

Kamukunji grounds holds a significant place in ODM's twenty years of existence.

Every time Raila had issues, it here that he met the people for consultations.

Today's rally follows a decision by the Central Committee to formally begin coalition negotiations with other political players.

The ODM moguls are expected to use the platform to drum up support for the decision of the Central Committee to begin negotiations with the UDA party.
