Speculations as ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna Meets With This Opposition Heavyweight

ODM party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has sparked speculations after his surprise meeting with Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya on Thursday.

Though the details of the meeting remain scanty, but it is most likely that 2027 election politics dominated their talks.

The meeting comes at the time Sifuna has found himself on the receiving end since the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

There have been calls for the removal of the Nairobi senator as ODM party SG on grounds that he is opposed to the broad-based government.

The fiery senator has been the face of the radical wing of ODM which is made up of youthful politicians including Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and the EALA lawmaker Winnie Odinga.

By meeting Natembeya who is a key opposition heavyweight, Sifuna has sparked speculations, especially on his political future ahead of the 2027 general election.
