Reasons For Ruto's Aide Eliud Owalo's Resignation

‎With only one year to General elections, DEPUTY Chief of Staff and Head of Government Projects Implementation in the President's Office Eliud Owalo has resigned.

‎In a post on his social media pages, Mr Owalo who has been a close ally of President William Ruto from Nyanza says he wants to run for president, and as such, it would be impossible for him to continue holding the position.

Mr Owalo is the deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the President Felix Koskei and is one of the politicians from Nyanza who started working with President Ruto very early, even before former Prime Minister Raila Odinga joined forces with the President to form a unity government.

‎The resignation is expected to raise mixed feelings especially regarding the timing of this move, and the fate of his relationship with President Ruto and his government.
