Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale Reacts As Cleophas Malala Accuses MP Junet of Betraying Raila

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has slammed former UDA party Secretary General Cleophas Malala for saying UDA knew Raila's 2022 agents courtesy of Suna East MP Junet Mohamed.

Malala had said Junet betrayed the late Prime Minister Raila Odinga, sneaking into State House to see then Deputy President William Ruto during the 2022 campaigns.

Malala claimed Junet informed Ruto about ODM plans and agents in polling stations.

"Junet started betraying Baba when he was alive. UDA knew ODM agents across the country because Junet would come to State House to see Ruto," Malala said.

He backed Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) SG Edwin Sifuna's allegations that Raila would be president but for people like Junet.

Sifuna accused Junet of mishandling funds meant for Raila Odinga's agents.

Senator Khalwale dismissed Malala's remarks on X, asking why Malala didn't become Governor if they had ODM agents' details.

The senator's response highlights the political spat ahead of the upcoming General Elections.
