"I Almost Died for This" Pastor Irungu Cries Out After Being Snubbed Over Tree-Hugging Challenge

Pastor James Irungu, the man from Murang'a who held a tree for over 79 hours to create cancer awareness, has cried out to the government for failing to recognise him.

Pastor Irungu says that after sacrificing his life in the cold, he has not received the support and recognition like fellow tree holder Truphena Muthoni.

Truphena Muthoni, the initial ideologist of the tree-hugging challenge, has been recognised by the state, the President, as well as Guinness World Records.

Pastor Irungu went on to even come up with a conclusion that there is no gender equality in this challenge.

He believes that women are more favoured in hard challenges compared to men.

“Mimi I almost died hugging a tree for 90 hours, hence they didn't call me to State House to see Mr President simply because I am a boy,” he stated.

Many understood Pastor Irungu's wrath, but due to the fact that he copied the idea from someone else, nothing much was to be expected.

“Why do you want to be recognised when the idea was never yours in the first place? Come up with yours and you'll get the respect,” one X user commented.

Despite the fact that many people have tried to copy Truphena Muthoni, she has still remained the most recognised individual in this tree-hugging challenge.
