Raila Odinga Jnr, son of the late ODM leader Raila Odinga, has announced dates for a memorial service for his late aunt, Beryl Achieng Odinga.
Posting on X on Sunday, November 30, 2025, Raila Jnr said the family will come together to celebrate her life.
“We will hold a memorial service at Consolata Shrine in Westlands on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 9.00 am. We will lay her to rest at Kango Ka Jaramogi on Saturday, December 6, 2025. May her memory continue to guide and inspire those she loved,” he wrote.
The announcement follows a call by the Odinga family for support with funeral arrangements.
Kisumu Woman Representative Ruth Odinga said the family will host a Holy Mass and mini-fundraiser at House Number 5, Mwingi Villas, Kileleshwa, from 4.00 p.m.
“An evening of prayer, remembrance, and support as we honor the life and legacy of Beryl Achieng Odinga,” Ruth said.
She urged those wishing to contribute to use Beryl Achieng Odinga Funeral Fund, Paybill 8002413, with their full names as the account name.
“Together, we extend our heartfelt comfort and solidarity to the family she loved so dearly. Rest in eternal peace, Beryl,” she added.
Beryl Achieng, who passed away on Tuesday, November 25, is remembered as compassionate, warm, and deeply devoted to family.
She was the daughter of Kenya’s first Vice President, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, and Mary Ajuma Oginga, leaving behind three children: Ami, Auma, and Chizi.
