President William Ruto has landed in Gatundu North, Kiambu County, to attend a Sunday service and fundraiser.

The event has attracted a key section of national and regional leaders, though the attendance has also highlighted the noticeable absence of several top figures from the region.

The President's entourage has been received by a notable group of leaders.

Governor Wamatangi of Kiambu has accompanied the President, alongside Cabinet Secretaries Alice Wahome and William Kabogo.

Furthermore, Member of Parliament Alice Ng'ang'a, MP Kimani Ichung'wah and MP Elijah Njoroge Kururia have also been present to receive the head of state.

Usually the President gets accompanied by a host of MPs when he is in the region. However, today has not been the case.

Raising questions of wanning support in the region despite win in the recent highly contested by election.

The President is expected to use this event as a platform to communicate his vision and development agenda.

He will be outlining the government's achievements and the specific projects it has undertaken for the region since assuming office.

This strategic engagement is crucial for galvanizing support and keeping the regional leaders aligned with the national development blueprint.

However, local political observers have noted that several influential political heavyweights from the wider Kiambu region have not attended the function.

This absence has fueled speculation regarding the current political dynamics within the county.

Despite the missing figures, the current cohort of attendees has ensured the function is well-represented by key government figures and local officials.

The event is seen as a significant step in the President's ongoing efforts to engage directly with the people and their representatives.
