Sources close to the happenings in the upcoming Baringo by elections have hinted that there is a push and pull between United Democratic Alliance and KANU.
Weeks ago, the President William Ruto and Gideon Moi met, in what was said to be an attempt to bury the hatchet.
I'm the meet up, it was said that KANU and UDA as people from the same region should cp exist as siblings with no much fierce rivalry that had been witnessed before.
And a private consultation over KANU's inclusion in government led to Gideon Moi dropping his bid for the Baringo senate race.
However there have not been any appointments going Moi orhis lieutenants way.
This has reportedly caused uproar among his supporters who wanted something immediate.
But it now seems that some of KANU generals have opted to support the UDA opponent in the by-election.
This is as a retaliation to Gideon Moi being 'coerced' to step out of the race, and his perceived wishes not being met.
With KANU rooting for one Mr Kiprono at the expense of Chemitei, the UDA Candidate, Ruto's party has also halted any fulfillment of any agreements until after the by elections.
The results will definitely influence a lot on the agreement they had.
This comes even as a group from Baringo who recently attended a recent consultative meeting in Nairobi, expressed their dissatisfaction with what they termed as President Ruto's betrayal of Moi.
