Ruto Told he Might Not Finish His 1st Term, Warned What Might Happen Between Now And 2027

Former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando has warned that President William Ruto may not complete his first term, let alone win re-election in 2027.

Kabando has labelled Ruto a failed leader, accusing him of carelessness and of repeatedly provoking Kenyans, which he says is fueling public anger.

He cautions that if the President does not change course, Kenyans could unite and rise against him before the end of his first term.

Kabando argues that Ruto’s attempts to stay politically relevant, including efforts to align himself with the ODM party, will not rescue his dwindling support.

“Dear President Ruto, your ruinous one term era is real and inevitable. Your plot to ‘eat’ ODM is stale. Only 20 months to go, if not earlier should you persist to provoke a restless, angry and gusto spirited citizenry. Your waterloo is nigh,” he wrote on X.

Kabando also predicts a heavy defeat for Ruto in 2027 should he remain in office, claiming the President has lost national support and that all regions are now united in seeking his removal.

He credits this shift to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who he says has energized the opposition.

“By Impeaching Rigathi, Ruto inadvertently gifted Kenya a political dynamo. Here comes a guaranteed one term. William Ruto is Kenya's existential threat. We must defeat him, at once."

But Ruto has repeatedly dismissed the notion that he can lose to the opposition, terming it a union of confused persons with no alternative agenda for Kenyans.

He has lauded his achievements, terming himself the best person to lead Kenya until 2032.
