Matiang'i Admits There's Only One Way Jubilee Can Win in 2027, Mentions it

Jubilee Party's Deputy Leader, Fred Matiang'i, has warned that the outfit risks not achieving its 2027 goals if it fails to demonstrate internal unity.

The former Interior Cabinet Secretary has stated that it is only if the party works as a team that it will succeed in securing the presidency in the approaching polls.

Matiang'i, who has since been picked as the party's 2027 presidential candidate, has warned that it will be hard to convince Kenyans to entrust them with power if they cannot demonstrate their ability to unite them.

"We will not go to convince Kenyans to entrust us with government when we cannot manage ourselves as a party. So bear in mind, wherever you go, that we are looking for leadership,” he said on Monday.

He further advised the party's grassroot leaders to base their campaigns on how the party plans to improve the lives of Kenyans and avoid bashing rivals or their parties.

"We should not be seen insulting other people. That is below the standard of Jubilee. It is not our business to describe other political parties; our business is to work or argue with them."
