Dem wa Facebook Joins Thousands at Raila Odinga’s Resting Place Turned National Shrine

The resting place of the late Raila Amolo Odinga has turned into a national shrine attracting multitudes of mourners and well wishers from all over Kenya and the world.

What was once a private family grave has now become a powerful symbol of unity remembrance and the continuing legacy of the man so affectionately referred to as Baba.

Since the death of Raila Kenyans have streamed into his homestead in Bondo to pay their last respects.

With flags and flowers murals depicting his lifelong struggle for democracy and justice it is now something of a beacon of hope and resilience.

Visitors described the atmosphere as deeply emotional part pilgrimage part celebration of a life that profoundly shaped Kenya’s political landscape.

The other public figures who have been seen lately at the site include Dem wa Facebook an influential online character whose emotional eulogy has left many with wet eyes.

Wearing a simple African print outfit she is captured placing a wreath at the foot of the memorial followed by leading her fans in a moment of silence.

A video capturing her short address has Dem wa Facebook praising Raila for his courage humility and tireless advocacy for the common citizen.

Her visit elicited a mixed response online with the majority congratulating her for showing respect to a national icon.

Since then social media platforms have been flooded with touching messages and videos of Kenyans reflecting on Raila’s contribution to the country.

With mourners arriving every day it is evident that the influence of Raila Odinga went beyond politics.

His final resting place has become not only a site of mourning but also a national monument where Kenyans gather to honor his dream of a united just and prosperous nation.
