"If You Are Bold Enough, Face Me - Come Abuse Me in Karatina" Gachagua Dares Ruto and DP Kindiki

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has intensified his political battle against President William Ruto and his deputy, Kithure Kindiki, accusing them of plotting against the unity of the Mt Kenya region.

Gachagua fired his latest salvo during a rally in Nyeri, daring the president and his deputy to take their offensive to his backyard in Karatina.

“I want to tell the president and his deputy to stop sponsoring people to abuse me. If you are man enough, come here in Karatina and abuse Riggy G,” he declared.

The DCP leader claimed that Ruto and Kindiki were paying individuals to spread derogatory messages about him.

He urged Mt Kenya residents not to fall for what he described as Ruto’s manipulative tactics, advising them to take the cash offered but not compromise their loyalty.

This confrontation comes after Ruto hosted thousands of leaders from Murang’a at State House, Nairobi, where he openly belittled Gachagua’s academic qualifications, expressing regret at having him as his deputy.

Kindiki, on the other hand, has used economic empowerment forums to push political rhetoric against Gachagua, further deepening the tensions.

Speaking to his supporters, Gachagua positioned himself as the go-to leader for the Mt Kenya region, warning that his followers would not tolerate attacks against him.

He described Ruto’s administration as corrupt and accused the president of supervising mismanagement and state brutality.

Gachagua is leading the United Opposition, a coalition of political leaders from various parties united by the goal of unseating Ruto.

Members include Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua (PLP), Justin Muturi (DP), Eugene Wamalwa (DAP-Kenya), and former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.

The coalition has agreed to set aside personal ambitions to focus on a joint mission to challenge Ruto in the next elections.
