Painful Moment For Mother As Drunk Husband Goes With Baby, Returns Days Later Without Her

A mother in Mbale is going through deep pain after her husband allegedly disappeared with their baby and later returned alone.

According to reports, the man left home with their nine-week-old daughter, Baby Ariana Sky Mwarikizi, on April 19. 

He was said to be heavily drunk at the time. For days, the family waited and wondered where he had taken the baby. Their worry grew as he did not return.

After four days, the father finally came back home. However, he had no baby with him and could not clearly explain where she was. 

This shocked the family and the entire community. His silence has made the situation more confusing and worrying.

An Occurrence Book record (OB No: 11/20/04/2026) confirms that Baby Ariana has been missing since April 19. Police say the father is now being held at Mbale Police Station as investigations continue.

The baby, described as calm and playful, was last seen in Mbale town. Family members say she liked sucking her thumb to comfort herself. Her sudden disappearance has left her mother heartbroken and in distress.

Search efforts have been ongoing, but no trace of the baby has been found so far. Neighbours and local residents have joined the search, checking nearby areas and sharing information in hopes of finding her.

Police are urging anyone with information to report to the nearest station immediately. As each day passes, fear grows for the baby’s safety, while her family continues to hold on to hope that she will be found alive.
