Beautiful photos have emerged of Senator Godfrey Osotsi’s wife after the Kisumu attack, as the two appeared together during today’s press briefing following his discharge from Karen Hospital.
Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi on Saturday addressed the media after receiving treatment for injuries sustained during an attack in Kisumu earlier in the week.
He was accompanied by his wife, supporters of the Linda Mwananchi movement, and leaders including Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, and Reuben Ndolo.
During the briefing, Osotsi dismissed reports circulating online suggesting that the attack was connected to a personal affair.
He maintained that the incident was politically driven and directly linked to his political activities.
He accused Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo of allegedly targeting him and members of his political team, claiming there was surveillance against him and his allies.
He also said he had evidence to support his allegations and called for action against the senior official.
His allies strongly supported his claims and demanded investigations, insisting that those behind the violence should be arrested.
Sifuna urged authorities to take immediate action, warning that failure to do so could lead to further political consequences.
The group also announced plans to hold a rally in Kisumu after an earlier planned gathering in Nakuru scheduled for April 19, while calling on supporters to remain calm despite rising political tensions.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen defended PS Omollo, urging political leaders to openly condemn violence and distance themselves from individuals associated with criminal gangs.
He also called on the inspector general of police to move swiftly and arrest anyone linked to political violence.
Omollo, in earlier remarks, described the incident as unfortunate and stated that any leader found using criminal groups should be held accountable.
Recounting the attack, Osotsi said he was assaulted while at a Kisumu shopping complex where he had gone for a haircut and a scheduled meeting.
He stated that a group of young people initially approached him peacefully before suddenly attacking him, leaving him unconscious.
