“We Must Be Respected” — Oburu Odinga’s Linda Ground Faction Sets Terms Amid Rising Deputy Seat Tension

The Linda Ground faction, led by veteran politician Oburu Odinga, has sent a firm message to opposition leaders over ongoing power-sharing talks, with the deputy seat emerging as a central point of contention.

According to sources close to the faction, leaders are increasingly uneasy with negotiations that they feel sideline their interests. 

The group argues that the Linda Ground movement has historically played a pivotal role in grassroots mobilization, party organization, and voter loyalty, and therefore deserves formal recognition through key leadership positions.

“If the deputy seat is not allocated to our faction, we may have to reconsider our participation in certain campaigns and coordination efforts,” insiders revealed, highlighting that political distancing is being considered as a strategic option.
