Tension High As Kibabii University Students Protest Over Mysterious Death of Their Vice Chancellor

Students at Kibabii University in Bungoma staged a major protest on Sunday following the mysterious death of Professor Donald Namasaka Siamba, who was a leading candidate for the university's Vice Chancellor position.

Prof. Siamba died at Hopkins Hospital in Bungoma after reportedly battling a brief illness, leaving many in shock and confusion.

The protests began because students are raising serious concerns about the circumstances surrounding his death.

They insist that Prof. Siamba had no known medical issues before he became ill, leading them to suspect foul play.

These worries have ignited a strong response from the student body, who are demanding answers.

Local residents joined the students in their demonstrations. Together, they blocked the busy Kanduyi-Kibabii-Chwele Road by setting up burning tires and placing large rocks on the road, which caused significant traffic jams.
