See the Country Raila Odinga Reportedly Went to Hide on Learning Ruto's Plan For Him After His AU Chair Defeat

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has now lifted the lid on some of the happenings he claims led to the late Raila Odinga's reunion with President William Ruto.

Amisi claims that Raila never really wanted to be part of President Ruto's Broad-based government and only got involved after being pressured by some of his closest allies.

The lawmaker has stated that he is among those who were opposed to the agreement from the start and did all they could to ensure Raila didn't work with Ruto or his government.

He claims that after Raila's loss of the AU chairmanship bid in January 2025, some politicians allied to him wanted him and Ruto to travel in the same private jet from Ethiopia to Nairobi and hold joint rallies in the city.

According to Amisi, himself, Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi and Kisii governor Simba Arati learnt about this plan and arranged to have Raila flown and hidden in Dubai to ensure he doesn't accompany Ruto in his rallies.

He claims that when Ruto and the rest learnt where Raila was, a team was dispatched to fetch him and bring him back aboard a private jet, to a waiting document which he was supposed to sign.

“It is in the public domain to go and see Osotsi and Arati; we took Raila to Dubai to hide him," he said on Saturday, as reported by the People Daily.

"Now, when they realised Raila is in Dubai, they sent Joho and Junet to go and capture Raila again from Dubai. Where did they take him? Not to Nairobi, but to Mombasa, to an already signed agreement at the Mombasa State lodge."

According to the MP, ODM figures who were involved in the plot included Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, Fisheries CS Hassan Joho, National Treasury CS John Mbadi and his Energy counterpart Opiyo Wandayi.
