"Alifura Kichwa" Nairobi Man Canes Daughter To Death For Visiting Enstranged Mum

Police in Nairobi are searching for a Dandora man accused of beating his 15-year-old daughter to death after she visited her estranged mother.

The suspect, identified as Nelson Omeno, is said to have assaulted his daughter, Charlene Nyangweso, on the night of December 31, 2025, at his home in Dandora.

After the incident, he allegedly took the injured girl to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital before disappearing. His whereabouts remain unknown.

Charlene’s mother, Pamela Sande, has called for justice, saying the loss of her daughter has left her devastated.

She revealed that she was married to Omeno for 14 years before they separated. After the separation, Charlene stayed with her father and stepmother.

According to Sande, Charlene visited her during the Christmas period and stayed with her for several days.

On December 31, Omeno reportedly came to pick the girl following a disagreement. That night, the teenager was allegedly punished for visiting her mother.

Sande said she last spoke to her daughter on the phone after the beating. During the call, Charlene told her that her father had beaten her and asked her mother to come for her the next morning. That call has continued to haunt her.

Later that night, Charlene collapsed. Instead of seeking urgent medical help immediately, Omeno is accused of taking her to Mama Lucy Hospital and leaving her there.

Sande said Omeno called her and asked her to rush to the hospital, claiming the child was in serious condition. However, once she arrived, his phone went off and has never been reachable since.

Charlene was later confirmed dead.

Omeno’s current wife, Sheila Odhiambo, has defended him, saying the incident was not intentional.

She claimed it was a case of discipline that went wrong and described it as an accident.

However, an autopsy report told a different story. Doctors confirmed that Charlene died from serious injuries to her head, chest, and other parts of her body, showing that the assault was fatal.

The case has caused anger and sadness among residents, with many calling for swift action by the police.

Authorities have urged anyone with information on Omeno’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station as investigations continue.

The tragic incident has renewed calls for stronger protection of children and stricter action against domestic violence in Kenya.
