Panic And Tension In Kenya Kwanza Gov't As What Ruto Suffers From Is Publicly Revealed By Kabando

Former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando has sparked intense political and legal debate after calling for the invocation of Article 144 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 to remove President William Ruto from office on grounds of mental incapacity.

His remarks have drawn wide attention across political, legal and media circles, given the gravity of the constitutional provision he referenced.

Kabando argued that recent public conduct and televised political analysis point to what he described as erratic and eccentric behaviour that raises serious questions about the president’s ability to effectively perform the functions of the office.

He cited discussions aired on Citizen TV Kenya, which he said reinforced concerns about decision-making consistency and leadership temperament at the highest level of government.

The comments have triggered mixed reactions, with opposition-aligned figures urging deeper scrutiny of executive conduct, while government allies have dismissed the claims as reckless and politically motivated.

Legal experts note that Article 144 sets a high threshold, involving medical evaluation and parliamentary approval, making it one of the most complex constitutional mechanisms.

The controversy adds to mounting political pressure on the presidency, as public discourse increasingly shifts from policy debates to questions of leadership fitness, accountability and constitutional safeguards ahead of the next election cycle.
