"No Passenger Disembarked From The Bus" New Details Emerge In Jirongo’s Death Probe

Fresh details have emerged in investigations into the death of former Lugari Member of Parliament Cyrus Jirongo following a fatal road crash at the Karai blackspot along the Nairobi-Naivasha highway.

New CCTV evidence has raised questions about earlier accounts of how the accident occurred.

Footage obtained from a nearby petrol station shows that Jirongo drove into the station in the early morning hours but did not stop to refuel.

The road at the time appeared clear with no traffic congestion or overtaking as previously alleged. Instead, Jirongo made a brief turn within the station and exited almost immediately before rejoining the highway.

Moments later his vehicle collided with a bus heading toward Naivasha.

Further footage shows that after the impact no passenger disembarked from the bus to check on the scene despite claims that dozens of passengers were on board.

The road reportedly remained quiet for a short period after the crash, with passing vehicles slowing down but not stopping.

Investigators have also established that the Mercedes Benz involved in the accident was not registered to Jirongo but to a private company, according to transport authority records.

This revelation has added another layer to the unfolding probe.

Additional intrigue emerged after a white Probox vehicle was captured entering the same petrol station shortly after Jirongo.

The close timing of the two vehicles has fuelled speculation that the former legislator may have been under observation during his final journey.

Separately, it has been reported that Jirongo missed a planned social meeting earlier that night despite being in contact with friends.

Witnesses later placed him at a Nairobi restaurant in a private meeting shortly before the fatal drive.

Authorities continue to piece together the sequence of events as questions linger over the circumstances surrounding Jirongo's final moments.
