Detectives investigating the death of former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo have uncovered new evidence suggesting possible foul play.
CCTV footage from Eagol Petrol Station shows three mysterious men acting suspiciously near Jirongo's vehicle seconds before the fatal accident.
According to investigators, one of the men exited the car and approached Jirongo's vehicle, only to return moments later.
A second man then stepped out and walked towards the driver's door, while a third man peeked out of the car.
The accident occurred shortly after, with Jirongo's car colliding with a Climax Coaches bus.
The autopsy report revealed that Jirongo died from severe blunt force trauma, with multiple rib fractures, a perforated heart, and internal bleeding.
The police are treating the incident as suspicious and are reviewing the CCTV footage to identify the individuals involved.
Jirongo's memorial service will be held on December 27, 2025, at Christ Is the Answer Ministries in Nairobi, followed by burial on December 30, 2025, at his rural home in Lumakanda, Kakamega County.
His wives, Christine Nyokabi, Anne Kanini, and Anne Lanoi, are overseeing the funeral arrangements.
The family has expressed shock and grief over the sudden loss, appealing to the public for patience as investigations continue.
