Cyrus Jirongo’s Family Demands This From Ruto’s Government Fatal Road Accident

The family of former Lugari Member of Parliament, Cyrus Jirongo, has called for a thorough government investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, seeking answers about his final movements before the fatal road crash.

Jirongo died early on Saturday morning, December 13, 2025, after his car collided with a passenger bus along the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway. Police reported that the accident occurred at around 3 a.m.

He was 64 years old. While authorities have described the incident as a road accident, Jirongo’s family says several unanswered questions remain, insisting that only a detailed inquiry can clarify how he ended up in Naivasha, contrary to his known plans.

According to family members, Jirongo was expected to return to his home in Gigiri, Nairobi, on Friday night, December 12, 2025.

However, he was later found driving in Naivasha and reportedly heading back toward Nairobi.

The family insists that he had no known reason to travel to Naivasha, raising questions about his route and actions before the crash.

The family believes that reviewing CCTV footage along the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway, speaking with witnesses, and examining the vehicle’s condition could provide crucial insights into what happened.

They have urged the government and law enforcement agencies to conduct a transparent investigation, noting that clarity is necessary not only for the family but also for the public.

Supporters and friends of Jirongo have also expressed concern over the circumstances of his death, highlighting his significant role in Kenyan politics and community leadership.

Many say that understanding the events leading to the crash is important to honor his legacy and prevent similar tragedies in the future.
