What Museveni is Allegedly Doing After Sensing Ruto's Likely Defeat in 2027

Former Mukurweini Member of Parliament, Kabando wa Kabando, has claimed that President William Ruto's pending defeat in 2027 is now known even by his counterparts around the region.

According to Kabando, a known Ruto critic, it is for this reason that people like Uganda's Yoweri Museveni are getting involved in Kenyan affairs, by among others, purporting to demand access to the Indian Ocean through Kenya.

He says that this is just a tactic to divert the attention of Kenyans and give Ruto the sympathy he badly needs, hoping that this way, he can manage to keep his seat in 2027.

According to Kabando, such is not new, because a similar thing happened in 1976, when founding father, Jomo Kenyatta, was under pressure regarding the murder of then Nyandarua North MP, J.M Kariuki.

"Museveni's bellicose claims of rights to access Indian Ocean is chicanery to draw sympathy for his mentee puppet, Ruto," he claims on X.

"It's akin Idi Amin's 1976 claims of Kenya territory, to divert internal pressure after JM Kariuki murder. Sly M7 trying to save a besieged Zakayo."

This follows reports of the two working closely together, including to silence critics, as was recently alleged by activist Bob Njagi upon his release from detention in Uganda.

Njagi claimed that Ugandan soldiers opened up to them, telling them how they were handed police uniforms and deployed to contain last year's Gen-Z demonstrations in Kenya.

He also alleged that it is through the same arrangement that they were arrested and held in Uganda, because Ruto's government tipped Museveni's about their departure from Kenya.
